Job Title: Appraisal Review Analyst

About the Role

We’re looking for someone who can bridge the gap between appraisal administration and residential real estate valuation. This hybrid position involves coordinating the appraisal process as well as providing valuation review and risk insight to support lending decisions.

Key Responsibilities

• Coordinate appraisal orders with AMCs and appraisers
• Manage communications and timelines with processors, underwriters, and sales teams
• Track and follow up on appraisal revisions, updates, and transfers
• Review appraisal reports for completeness and accuracy
• Verify value conclusions and assess whether the report supports the stated opinion of value
• Analyze comparable sales and market data to confirm credibility of the appraisal
• Identify discrepancies, red flags, or valuation risks and escalate when necessary
• Draft concise internal notes or summaries for underwriting and credit risk teams
• Support compliance with AIR and lending regulations

Qualifications

• Minimum (3-5yrs) years of experience in real estate, preferably within a lending environment
• Familiarity with residential appraisal reports, comps, and valuation risk indicators
• Strong organizational and communication skills
• Comfortable managing multiple files in a fast-paced environment
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and ability to learn appraisal/lending software systems
